Yoga Nidra Meditation – 1st Monday of Month

This class will feature a donation-based 30-ish-minute Yoga Nidra meditation, as well as a short explanation of the benefits on your mind, body, and nervous system.

The world we inhabit is filled with stressors – work, relationships, too much screen time, lack of sleep… No wonder we feel fatigued all the time! All of these stressors impact the sympathetic side of our autonomic nervous system, thus releasing the stress hormone, cortisol. Through Yoga Nidra meditation we can lower the effects of this stress hormone, and increase the time spent in our parasympathetic nervous system, which is the space from which we rest, digest, and heal.

How to connect: Once you have registered for this event you will receive a separate confirmation email with the Zoom link and passcode.

How to Prepare: Find a quiet and comfortable place where you will not be disturbed. You will be lying down and/or still for about 30/45 minutes. You can lie down in your bed, on your yoga mat, or choose a reclined seat. You can use a pillow, bolster, blanket, and/or an eye pillow to create a comfortable space to linger.
